How to russify Netscape 2.0

  1. get koi8 fonts here (520 Kb)
  2. install them in usual way and make sure that Xserver recognize them
     
  3. insert string "*documentFonts.charset*koi8-1: iso-8859-1" (by madmax@sai.msu.su: there are must be tabs but not spaces !!!) into file /usr/X11/lib/X11/app-defaults/Netscape after line number 3417
  4. start netscape, click on options, select General Preferences, Fonts, Use Proportional Font. Select Times(Adobe). Go to Use Fixed Font, select Courier(Adobe). Press OK, Save options
