PVODE/KINSOL/IDA PVODE is a portable solver for ordinary differential equation systems. It is based on robust mathematical algorithms, and targeted at large systems on parallel machines. A closely related solver called KINSOL has been developed for systems of nonlinear algebraic equations, and another is in progress for systems of differential-algebraic equations.
